Ruby Tuesday’s motto is, “No shirt. No shoes. No problem.” In other words, it’s the ultimate in casual dining, the perfect spot for the family to grab a bite without worrying about how everyone looks. And the food? It’s plentiful and delicious, from appetizers (try the Mega Nachos or Chili Queso Fries) to pasta and steaks.
There’s even a healthful “smart eating menu.” Side orders include the Loaded Baked Potato – and it really is! But Ruby’s real claim to fame is its trademark 30 Famous Burgers, and you’ll have a tough time choosing. There’s veggie and bison, fish and crabcake, even a “surf and turf” burger with beef and shrimp.
The house specialty is the Adventurous Steak Burger, a half-pound monster garnished with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, mustard and mayonnaise. Add chili, chicken and turkey burgers and, Bof course, a big, fat American cheeseburger, and it’s easy to see that everyone’s taste can be satisfied. Curbside pickup for takeout food is available. And, if you’re having a birthday while visiting D.C., you’re in luck. The restaurant offers special discounts and free desserts.
