The Melting Pot does one thing, but does it better than anyone: fondue. If your kids are unfamiliar with this delightful Swiss cooking process, bring them along and watch their eyes light up as they realize that they’ll be preparing their own food! (There’s a choice of four cooking styles, and your server will gladly guide you through the process.) Guests can order a la carte, but the standard “Big Night Out” meal is a full, four-course affair, starting with cheese fondue and continuing with several choices of salad. Entrees vary from peppercorn marinated pork to medallions of filet mignon to chicken and black tiger shrimp, all, of course, with fondue sauce.
And there are tempting chocolate fondue desserts. There’s also a full bar and a wine list to complement your dining pleasure, and a variety of seasonings and other items are available for purchase on your way out. It is believed that cheese fondue originated high in the Swiss mountains, the product of cow herders who spent long hours in the snow-covered pastures with sparse provisions. But they had plenty of cheese and bread!
