Generous George’s Positive Pizza and Pasta Place specializes in what kids love best – pizza, and it’s anything but ordinary. There are oodles of unique specialties. Try Taco Cha Cha Ole! – it’s spicy and salsa-drenched, featuring a mixture of meat and veggies as well as lettuce, sour cream and jalapenos. The yummy Positive Pineapple Pleasure features heaps of pineapple, slices of ham, onion and cheese.
There also are more traditional pizzas along with an array of pasta dishes, appetizers, salads and subs (the steak and cheese sub is a major treat). A special kids menu offers a personal pizza, macaroni and cheese and another children’s favorite – a grilled cheese sandwich. In fact, kids really do rule the roost here and are treated royally. George Mansy started his restaurant back in 1977 at the site of his parents’ former grocery store. The atmosphere is light and lively and the décor a bit over the top – pink and green, with lots of hanging toys. Generous George’s was voted ""Best Kid-Friendly Restaurant"" in Washington Post‘s Best Bets 2005 Readers‘ Choice contest.
