Plaza Hotel Washington DC
Location: 10 Thomas Cir., NW, Washington, DC
The Washington Plaza Hotel was built by famous architect
Morris Lapidus, best known for his designs of the Fountainbleu and Eden Roc in Miami.
Contemporary in style, this hotel welcomes visitors of all ages with its constantly-smiling
staff and other great amenities. The hotel is located
on Thomas Circle, just blocks
from Washington D.C.'s best attractions and close to the Metro.
The Plaza is amazingly large for a downtown hotel, boasting
340 lovely and spacious guest rooms.
Kids age 16 and under stay free with parents and pets
are welcome as well, with a small deposit. The hotel used to have a glass-covered
pool with retracting dome but now boasts a beautifully landscaped outdoor heated
pool. Families can dine by the pool in the summer and there's also a children's
activity room that's open during high vacation season. The onsite restaurant, Number
Ten Thomas, offers all three meals and room service is available as well. There's
also a gift shop, fitness room, and spa services. Indoor parking is available for
a fee.
