Overview

National Theater for Kids. What a great way for the whole family to spend Saturday mornings together, but seating is limited and tickets are required. They’re free and distributed one-half hour prior to each performance on a first-come, first-served basis,

and there’s something new to enjoy every Saturday, beginning with “Alias Don Quixote on Oct. 1, featuring the Goza Family Players using vaudeville, dramatizations, mime, music, and, oh yes – don’t forget side-splitting slapstick.

October 15 spotlights talented singer, writer, comedian and actress Alice McGill featured in “Sure as Sunrise” with tales told to tickle the funny bone and stir the heart.

Then, on October 22, fly to Neverland with “Peter Pan,” presented by the Box of Light Theater. Using Japanese Bunraku puppets, computer images

and audience participation, there’s something to delight everyone in this production.

When you return on October 29, come in costume (there’ll be prizes) and join Grandma Sally Mims through a highly interactive Halloween adventure that includes ghosts, folk and cautionary tales from Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean.

And on November 5, experience “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” to bring this year’s Halloween celebration to a perfect end. It’s free and for the entire family.
