International Children’s Festival. As kids from South Korea dance on stage, your youngster looks at you with wide eyes and asks, “How did they learn to do that?” The diverse cultures and countries represented at the International Children’s Festival, held at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts, will have you asking yourself the same thing.

Be prepared to answer lots of questions from the young ones in your group as they absorb with fascination the colors, sounds and movements of student performing groups from around the world.

As you explore the world through the eyes of these children you will be amazed at how much kids have to teach us all about diversity and acceptance.

The festival is in its 35th year and promises to provide a basic cultural exchange, exhibiting customs, arts and ideas from around the globe. That’s a very grown-up way to say that kids will absolutely love this event, because if offers them the different, the unique, and the new.

There are several stages and hands-on workshops that allow kids to get involved and get educated without even knowing it. In today’s world, events like these take on even greater importance as they teach all ages the value of sharing and cooperation. Get international with your kids, without ever leaving the country.
