Overview

Washington D.C.’s Independence Day Celebration gets top marks for being rich in history, tradition and culture. The  parade, which begins at noon, highlights more than 100 participants stepping out and playing music for the crowds.

When the parade winds down, the popular music groups begin entertaining everyone of all ages, right up until the fireworks begin.

The National Symphony Orchestra begins performing at 8 pm, featuring guest stars that will wow the audience.

You’ll feel that patriotic tingle in your nerve endings and that swell of pride that comes from living in the United States and sharing in its history.

Of course the fireworks are greatly anticipated, and typically begin at around 9:20 pm or so.

You’ll be ready for a sky spectacular after a day of marching bands, military pomp and floats, plus all that music you’ve probably been dancing to.

Sit back, look skyward, and bask in the beauty that only fireworks and July 4th can bring. Let freedom ring.
